The new multipurpose hall at Toowoomba North State School (QLD) officially opens today, 5 November. This impressive development delivers a modern, high-performing facility designed to support school sport, community events, and day-to-day school-life. The hall proudly features a full suite of premium sports equipment supplied and installed by HiTech Sports.

Developed under the Queensland Department of Education’s Great Schools, Great Future initiative, the facility centres around a full-size sports court accommodating basketball, volleyball, badminton, netball, and additional active-play formats.

At the heart of the sport court are our Essentials Roof Mounted Basketball Systems, equipped with backboard height adjustors and electric winches that enable smooth forward-fold lifting – offering complete customisation and efficient space management. The court also includes two additional two column mounted basketball shooting stations to support training and maximise participation opportunities.

To elevate game-day experience, we installed a high-performance scoreboard and shot clocks, allowing for seamless scoring across multiple sports. Complementing this setup, HiTech Sports supplied Aluline Volleyball, Aluline Netball, and Badminton systems, ensuring reliable, competition-ready equipment for students play, train and compete on.

In a busy school environment where sport, learning, and community use overlap, equipment flexibility, durability, and functionality make a meaningful difference. Cannon Hill Anglican College (QLD) has unveiled its new state-of-the-art indoor sports hall – a modern facility designed to enhance sporting opportunities and support the College’s growing community. HiTech Sports was proud to partner on this landmark project, supplying and installing a complete suite of premium Stadia sports systems purpose-built for elite competition and multi-sport use.

As part of the fit-out, HiTech Sports installed Stadia FIBA Level Two Certified Roof Mounted Basketball Systems – the premier choice for demanding gameplay environments and elite-level competition. These forward-retracting systems meet strict clearance and spatial requirements while ensuring reliability, safety, and consistent performance.

With a volleyball program recognised for its success at both state and national levels, CHAC selected Skymaster Roof Mounted Volleyball Systems featuring a rearward-retracting design that eliminates the need for manual setup or storage. Each system seamlessly lowers and retracts from the ceiling at the push of a button via the universal touchscreen control system, allowing staff to transition between sports with ease.

The facility also includes FIBA Certified scoreboards and a Stadia Dividing Curtain with custom CHAC logo graphics, giving the College the flexibility to configure the space for basketball, volleyball, or multi-court setups.

The redevelopment provides over 2,000m² of sports flooring, two FIBA-standard courts, and tiered timber seating, creating a vibrant, high-performance venue that supports both competition and community engagement.

Marking its 25th anniversary, The Springfield Anglican College (QLD) has unveiled its largest project to date — the new Ironbark Indoor Sports Centre. We are busy on this major project fitting out 3 basketball courts to be the first school in Queensland to have a FIBA Level 2 Certified facility. Complete with state of the art FIBA Certified SB-F2 Scoreboards and TSC-1500XL touchscreen operation for 6 roof-mounted basketball backstops and 2 dividing curtains.

National Sports & Play Industry Awards Runner-up & Third Place!!

We are proud to announce HiTech Sports won both second & third place this year for the 2023 National Sports & Play Conference best sports equipment installation in Australia (as well as 1st place).

HiTech Sports was awarded these this year for the supply and installation of FIBA Certified Basketball & FIVB Certified Beach Volleyball equipment for All Saints Anglican School & Aspley State High Schools!

This complex project was worth all of the extra effort and we are very proud of our team! Winning second place is a significant achievement, but to also come in third shows a consistency in performance. The awards will undoubtedly be a source of pride for HiTech and its employees, and should serve as motivation to continue providing exceptional sports equipment and service.

Commonwealth Games – Gold Coast 2018

HiTech Sports was the official supplier for all the basketball games with our Schelde FIBA Level One Portable Basketball Backstops for the Cairns, Townsville and Gold Coast games.

HiTech Sports also supplied all the Beach Volleyball equipment including the custom colours and graphics on the nets and pads. All underground bases, posts, nets, padding and umpire stands on all five competition courts and three warm up courts on the Gold Coast. And the 2kg Men’s Discus….

Councils have safety on their mind

Local WA Council was concerned that their existing Basketball Backstops was not certified so engaged HiTech Sports to remove them and install new FIBA Certified wall mounted models. Also added the height adjustable backboards for the juniors and senior players.
When everything else now days have to be certified, why not the actual equipment also? FIBA has the toughest standards, hence why there are only a few certified suppliers world wide.

Regional Installation

Even on the other opposite side of this large country, we can install our FIBA Level Three basketball backstops and in ground systems in Onslow WA for their new Sports Stadium. A lot of travel to get there but the result was worthwhile for this small township so they can have the same quality as the larger centres. We also fitted out Onslow’s Cyclone Shelter/Sports Centre in 2010 with also certified backstops as well as a motorised climbing wall to top the list.

Another satisfied school

And another school is very satisfied that they choose our Stadia Basketball backstops that are FIBA Level two certified and also our Stadia Centre Roll Curtain. They also said, why skimp on quality and certification when these sports centres costs so much and then you could put your students in harm’s way.
